I love to paint. Though after 35 years with a brush in my hand, I still and always face the challenge of making it all work – color, composition, light and surface. It never gets easier, but when all the elements come together, for the artist there is a moment like no other. There is a fine line between my painting and the care of our home and gardens. All occupy an equal part of me and influence each other, though my paintings invite a conversation between me and the world that is unique to artists.
I am happy when there is sympathy and connection between the viewer and the painting. It always matters.
